Beatnik Xtra Lite Licensing Info: What you can and can't do
The Beatnik Xtra Lite, distributed with Macromedia Director7, is intended as a fully-functional trial version of the Beatnik Xtra, to give Director developers and multimedia designers a taste of what is possible with Beatnik audio technology. As a developer and Director 7 licensee, you have an unlimited right to use the Beatnik Xtra Lite in your *internal* projects only, along with the free music and sound effects included in the package. You do *NOT* have the right to redistribute the Beatnik Xtra Lite in any form! You may *NOT* include it in or ship it with built titles, Projectors, or applications. You may *NOT* include Beatnik Xtra Lite in commercially available CDROM's, Enhanced CD's or any other form of physical or electronic product.
If you want to include the Beatnik Xtra in your commercial product, title, game, or downloadable application, or redistibute it in any form, you need to purchase the Beatnik Xtra Pro from Headspace's web site. Beatnik Xtra Pro has numerous enhancements over the Xtra Lite, and includes an extended package of behaviours, music and sound effects.
